New Features for Advanced Machining and Controller Emulation

HAVERHILL, MA. – February 13, 2008 – IMS Software, the pioneering developer of advanced NC postprocessing, verification and simulation solutions has announced the immediate availability of IMSpost 7.4 and an updated IMSce for V5.

IMSpost 7.4 provides numerous enhancements targeting advanced multi-axis machining. Support for dynamic coordinate systems and helical interpolation have been improved; postprocessor editor and debugging interfaces have been upgraded, and a new module providing report output in XML format has been added.

In addition to NC postprocessing the IMSpost environment also provides a unique solution in the market today for Controller Emulation (CE) development, allowing any customer to develop G-code emulation for CATIA V5 from Dassault Systemes (NASDAQ:DASTY), or IMSverify from IMS Software.

Enhancements to Controller Emulation include new multi-axis options, acceleration/deceleration support, and management of logical errors in the G-code (for additional processing within CATIA or IMSverify).
