We are looking for a candidate for our North American Account Manager role.

This candidate will join the sales team in charge of existing and new North American accounts relating to the sale of all IMS custom developed and standard software products. Candidate will be expected to grow the volume at existing accounts, penetrate established accounts for additional growth, and acquire new accounts working with Marketing and utilizing other leads. The vision is to grow in this role through effective channel management, working with resellers, and adding new sales associates to the team when warranted.

IMS Software is a leading supplier of custom developed software and software products for postprocessing and simulation and verification of various CAM system outputs.

This role is responsible for the full sales cycle of IMS products and services including opportunity generation, web-site generated lead follow up, qualification, coordination of all resources required to sell, completion of sales processes, project and case set up and continued project follow-up.

Responsibilities include:

  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline of qualified leads that are both provided by customer inquiries, or that are generated through conducting research on targeted accounts, market segments, and nurturing customer interest.
  • Sell to multiple levels of decision makers within small, medium, and large companies at both technical and business levels.
  • Participate in consultative pre-sale meetings to capture client needs and vision.
  • Coordinate and/or conduct these pre-sales meetings with IMS internal technical staff.
  • Create quotations based on client specifications; and submit to customer with compelling presentations, if requested.
  • Coordinate and help conduct technical presentations and proposal clarification meetings


  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business or equivalent related technical experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in software solutions sales
  • Knowledge of CAD/CAM systems with emphasis on Machining concepts and processes
  • Expected travel of up to 25%
